After years of annual installments, Ubisoft decided not to release a new Assassins Creed game in 2016 (give or take an Ezio Trilogy). The company realized gamers had lost their zeal for the franchise, and decided to build a new installment from the ground up, with hopes of improving what had grown rusty. The result is Assassins Creed Origins, a much more open and fresh-feeling game youll be able to play on PS4, Xbox One, and PC when it launches on October 27, 2017.

If youre ready to preorder the game, youll probably want to know what bonuses youll get, and what comes in the many editions Ubisoft is releasing. We have you covered, so read on for everything you need to know about preordering Assassins Creed Origins. This may be one of the most complex and convoluted lineups for a single game we have ever seen. There are no less than six different special editions of Assassin's Creed Origins, some of which are exclusive to specific retailers. Only some include the Season Pass as well. So stick with us - we are here to break it all down:

Price: $70

If you want a few digital goodies in addition to the core game, youll probably want to grab the Deluxe Edition, which comes with the following in-game items (along with a bonus mission if you preorder):

Price: $100

The digital-only Gold Edition is the same as the Deluxe Edition, but with the addition of the Season Pass for an extra $30 - $10 less than its standard price:

Price: $110

Want a steelbook to go along with your game? Then the Gold Steelbook Edition is for you. It comes with all the digital goodies and the Season Pass, along with a fancy steelbook case + copy of the game for an extra $10:

Price: $120

Origins has two separate high-end Collector's Editions. The first, Gods Edition, includes the digital goodies in the Deluxe edition, along with a variety of physicalbonuses. Note that it does not include the Season Pass, which is the first real example of shenanigans, here.It comes with:

Price: $160

The second, higher-end Collector's Edition is the Dawn of the Creed Edition. It comes with a different, more elaborate Bayek figurine, a few other exclusive physical goodies, and tosses in the Steelbook Gold Edition for good measure (which, if you have been paying attention, you will recall includes the Season Pass). It comes with all of these extras:

Price: $800

Lets say you have an extra $800 burning a hole in your pocket and youre an enormous Assassins Creed fan. In that case, youll want to grab the Legendary Dawn of the Creed Edition (assuming you can find it in stock somewhere). There's plenty to be exasperated by with this overly convoluted lineup of different editions, but this $800 ultra-high-end edition seems... surprisingly reasonable. Huge, high-end figurines like this do not come cheap. It does appear that this edition comes with twosteelbook cases though, which is just weird.Heres what youll get for your money.

Preorder any version of Assassins Creed Origins from nearly any retailer and youll receive this:
