No Redemption For the PlayStation Vita

I actually blame the PS4 for it's downfall. Although the decision was on the execs.

Sony struggled for years to try and get people excited for the Vita, and they even produced some good games for it. Early PS4 marketing included the Vita as a good secondary peripheral to support some of the PS4's featues as well. It looked promising really.

But when it all failed to get people to buy the system in droves, and at the same time Sony was seeing runaway success with PS4, it's no wonder they decided to focus on the device which acctually brought them more money without as much effort. At least from a business perspective.

It does suck, because I do think the Vita is a great device. I play mine often, and still find a lot of great content on it. However, I am into Japanese games, and like the 3DS, it offers them up in spades. I can recognize that it's not going to be a system that most people would enjoy though, so I would not recommend it unless that person was into Japanese games, and even then, I feel that right now the PS4 would be a better option overall.
