A Way Out Dev on EA: 'All Publishers F*** Up Sometimes'

Josef Fares, creator of A Way Out and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, went off-script during his The Game Awards appearance, briefly addressing his relationship with EA and the controversy surrounding the company's recent microtransaction decisions.

Fares made it clear how much A Way Out is the game he wanted to make, unrestricted by publisher hindrances.

"This is my idea, does not have anything with the EAs**t going on, with the loot box and stuff," Fares said, specifically in regard to the idea of giving players the chance to play A Way Out online with a friend with only one copy of the game.
