Rocket League Hits 40 Million Players

Rocket League has hit another major milestone, reaching 40 million players across PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Developer Psyonixannouncedthe news on Twitter, with the game now having gained two million more players in just a few weeks. Rocket League hit 38 million registered players earlier in December.

The game reached25 million registered playerslast January andsurpassed 30 million in April. This increase in players is partly due toRocket League's Nintendo Switch release.Psyonix promises more information on Season 7 will be shared sometime later this month.

Some of the updates players can expect from Rocket League this year include improved server performance, in-game tournaments,a revamped progression system, inventory and quality-of-life improvements, and new collectibles such as banners, titles, and achievements.
